Maintenance Tip #9: Wire Screens

Every creature, large and small, is looking for a warm place to bunker down for the winter. The easiest way to deter these vermin is to use wire screens. Use them on any ventilation openings or any opening that a small creature could fit into. The top of the chimney is another place where vermin and birds love to access the chimney and nest in. It's warm and dry and you don't want them in there. Once they get in, it's very difficult to clean all the nesting material out.
