Lake Travis, just west of Austin, is a fabulous place to own waterfront property.  What some people don't realize is that the level of the lake almost never stays the same.  The full level of Lake Travis is 681 feet above mean sea level.  The highest it has ever been was just over 710 feet in December of 1991.  The lowest Lake Travis has been was around 614 feet a long time ago.  This is a huge difference.  Imagine what the lake would look like at these different levels.  Imagine managing a marina on Lake Travis at these levels.   Well, there is much more to the story.  Read more now.
