It took a little longer than expected because of the changes made by the AR guys over to the new point system the night after I posted my 100k point update. Previously, 3 blogs per day could be awarded with points giving each member a possible 600 base points per day just from blog posts. Now, only 10 posts per week are awarded points.
So, my original projections were a little off, and it has taken a few extra days... but we finally have a winner!!!
Teri Isner! Congratulations!!!

Little surprise really. She has been on track to be the first to 100,000 points for a long time now with her consistent power blogging strategy. It's interesting that since the writing of my first article on the subject, as an ActiveRain member, you can no longer get detailed information on the points attained by other members. This information is now private, and I'm glad I got a chance to write that article before that info was hidden. It helped me to understand how the top 3 members have gotten to where they are today. And it's fun to see the 3 different strategies that were involved: power blogging, networking, & quality writing.
As promised, I will be writing a post dedicated to her success on our Hismove.com/blog. I thought that it would also be a good time to promote the Active Rain Network through a positive piece that describes the success real estate agents have had, and why it is a great networking tool. One of the things I will be focusing on is the viral popularity that Active Rain has attained in a very short amount of time through the addicting point system that promotes healthy blogging practices for real estate professionals. This 100k point benchmark is a perfect time to discuss it. I will update this post when that post is finished.
Update: Here is the Special Article on AR and Teri Isner
So, Active Rain members, and readers... where do we go from here? Once you have reached 100,000 points will you try to make it to 200,000, or 500,000? Teri, my question to you is, do the points matter to you as much as they did when you started? Will you still blog as much as you did before you reached 100,000?

Hey, Matt & Caleb,
If you get a chance to read this... after I posted this I noticed that all my links were changed to include /action/ in the URL. I had to manually change all the links in the post because they just didn't work with the /action/ included. This has never happened to me before...
Thanks
