As some of you may already be well aware, there is a state program that is designed to subsidize a portion of the employer's cost of group health insurance.   Essentially, the program reimburses 60% of the employer's contribution to the employee's costs and 80% of the employee's spouse's costs.   The program is called EPIC--in Oklahoma--and can be found online.  This program seems to be focused toward smaller businesses.  It has gross income guidelines that screen out larger companies.   For those of you out there selling group insurance, this is a wonderful tool for you to be able to make the plans affordable for the small to medium sized business.  For any business owners out there who want to offer group benefits but are daunted by the cost, please look into this program or talk to an insurance agent who is up to speed on EPIC.  It almost goes without saying that by offering the group medical care you will be able to attract and keep quality employees, thereby taking away or at least greatly rducing the headache of employee turnover.
