I'm Lucky in Kentucky!

We all think we have lucky numbers. If we didn't there would be no Las Vegas. I grew up in a house with the number of 203. Somehow that stuck to me. I don't think it was particularly lucky...but what counted was that I believed it to be.

Later when I bought my first sports car (an Alfa Romeo Spyder)I was at the Madison County court house in the license office begging for any plate that might have a 203 on it. The lady didn't think I was crazy and dug through piles of tags till she found the perfect one for me.

Excitedly she handed me MYT-203. Everyone waiting patiently and impatiently in the line behind me applauded! It was easy for me to remember. It sounded like mighty 203! I was sooooooo lucky.

Later, I bought another car that set off another court house search. This time I came up with 203-DXZ. I put that on a cute silver blue Toyota MR2.

Both cars were extremely lucky and were never in an accident. The Alfa made it through 7 years and 5 for the MR2. Had lots of fun in those cars!

The car I am driving right now I have no idea what the tag number is and I have driven it 4 years. How sad is that? If I take 203 and add the numbers together I get a 5. I have never used that as a lucky or unlucky number.

Catherine Meyer's post on It's an unlucky number - I can't buy it! got me thinking. Maybe it's all just a state of mind where we all feel comfort. It's gives us something familiar in a sea of numbers and uncertain times. We can't even see clients as crazy because we do it too in some form or fashion. It can give them an out when they just can't come up with a good reason to not like a house.

Don't laugh...YOU KNOW YOUR LUCKY NUMBER! You lucky monkey!

You look different, Lizette!  Nice picture!  :o)

I have all kinds of "bad luck" numbers associated with me, so I never pay attention to any of it.  I think I'm a pretty lucky girl, all in all.

Hmmm...my lucky number I guess is "5" as I was born child #5 of 6 kids!!  I was born on the 5th of November!!  Ummm...and that's it really.  I prefer even numbers but I'll take "5!"  I have no idea what my license plate is off the to of my head...I'll go check!

Cute Post!!

Sarah - I can hardly believe you are associated with any bad luck. You are a lucky monkey!

Susie! My Mom's birthday is November 5th! That makes you extremely lucky monkey!

Lizette--I always considered 18 my lucky number (my b-day number) and my husband's is 9 for no particular reason. We actually got married on the 9th of March because it was his favorite number. Each of my son's picked a lucky number...my oldest picked 5 as his b-day is Cinco de Mayo or 5/5 and the younger one picked 9...just like Dad for no apparent reason other than Dad. Nine is their jersey number for baseball....The numbers haven't worked for the lottery yet but we keep trying when the jackpot is high! :)

Lizette, first...you look great as always but  I do like the new you.  Secondly, my lucky number is 13....really.  I have my serial number from my service days also which is used at times.  I understand exactly how you feel about your car plate and the number for them.  You know some numbers just feel right with a person, and I think 203 fits you fine, it has a nice ring to it Lizette 203...yep, works every time.

Great post, and your score ....is a 5 rating, LOL...I love this.

Very interesting... I do believe in lucky numbers too. My lucky number over the years has always been 3. Everything that adds up to 3 or divides evenly by 3 is LUCKY for me.

I've been asking myself how is that and I read many books in numerology to find out that numbers are form of energy and so are we, the humans... therefore we attract and are compatible with similar energy.

Can I also add that strangely enough my name numerological value is 3...

Lizette, great picture!  My lucky number would still be Lucky 7!

07/19/2007 07:53 PM by Pasadena CA Real Estate - Irina Netchaev (Keller Williams International Realty)

Lizette,

My lucky number is 7  , I born on December 7th, about the tags and numbers, everything for me it is a myth, psycological, if you believe that, you will create that and it can happen, if you do not believe on that, it is the same.   I read something about Randy from Hawaii and he wrote something about the Lucky things, very interesting blog.   I respect people who believe about Luck, but everything it is on our mind and brain and of course, I believe that there is power in our mind and we can make things to happen.

These days, I drive an Eos from the VW very awesome car :) it is the Turbo and the fully loaded, it is awesomeeeeeeee      runs like a hell even when it is 4 cylinder 200 HP Turbo

Teri - I am like you about the lottery. I can't win if I don't play.

Bob - I agree...I've never felt 13 to be an unlucky number. It suits you.

Arina - For awhile I thought 3 was one of my lucky numbers too.

Irina - You would do well in Vegas.

Ray - I think these numbers are lucky only because we wish them to be. The Eos is an awesome car 4 sure.

Lizette...I didn't think Glamour Shots were allowed on AR?

No lucky number for me....maybe that's my problem?

great new pic... I saw you come up on my subscribed list and thought - wow who is that.... it took me looking at your name... love the hair.... oh nice post - lucky number is 27 no reason just like it....

Lizette, you look GORGEOUS!  I love the new look (and now realize I need a new one myself :)  I read the other post and aren't sure why everyone found someone's belief in a number so weird....I thought maybe I was just used to it, but they DON'T put the number 13 in lots of places, like elevators in hotels.  And how many of us refuse to walk under a ladder??  My lucky number is 9, even before Feng Shui...I grew up playing poker and they always called it "Lucky 9"  I still don't know why but it works for me :)  Great post (and look!)

07/20/2007 05:56 AM by Carole Provenzale Owner, Feng Shui Long Island & New York (Feng Shui Long Island & New York City)

Joan - You are just too funny! We shall have to pick a lucky number for you maybe an 11. Because you are more than a 10!

Thesa- I did the same thing when Sarah Cooper changed her pic. I wondered who it was! Just let me know if it starts to be a change for the worse and I can change back to the old one.

Carole - You are my biggest fan! As I am for you! 9 is a perfect number for you. I have walked under a ladder or two but I do ponder whether or not I should beforehand.

Lucky numbers are fun, but they don't rule my life ;)  I have never put done just one lucky number.  It's always been a mismash for me.  Love the new pic, But so does everyone!

Lexa - Mismash works just fine. It's all a state of mind anyway. Thanks for stopping by.

Lizette...thanks for commenting on my recent post. I do appreciate it. Also, I liked this piece a lot---lucky numbers?...hmmm. I need to check into that a little more. Perhaps the waiter at the Chinese restaurant I eat at can help me--he's always playing the lottery when I come in for lunch. But then again, he has really bad teeth and a junker Honda...and the restaurant he waits at isn't the greatest, it's just close to my office, so I'm not sure how lucky he really is. I did like the movie 'Lucky Number Sleven,' though...

Also, I did Google you as you suggested in your comment. You have many different looks--- or maybe you stole the real Lizette's identity

Lizette...

I have a battery operated clock that keeps stopping at 7:11.

What do you make of that? I think it's really odd to say the least :)

TLW...ROAR!

TLW, You have a weird thing going on with that number. Publicly declare it to be lucky and enjoy it's power! LOL

07/21/2007 05:29 PM by Lizette Fitzpatrick, Lexington KY Real Estate (Central Kentucky - Prudential Don Foster - Richmond KY)

Geno - Funny you should say that. I always feel that I look different in every picture. Maybe it is a mood thing. Different place and another time perhaps.

My lucky number has always been 3. So things always happen to me in 3. I get buyers and listings in groups of 3. Sometimes, I wish my lucky number 10. Well, maybe not, because then I would have 10 pets. I currently have 3,  two dogs and one cat....

Grant - That is a fantastic concept. Hopefully, you have 3 closings all in one day also. WooHoo! I once had 3 bithday cakes in one day. That was quite a surprise!

I feel a connection to a number I won't mention. But when I see it connected to my life transactions I feel more comfortable.
