It was an Amazing week for The Real Estate Sizzle! The site hit 217 visits in one day and 915 for the week...for the first time ever! And two articles, one about "Property Tax Reform in Florida" and another about "Putting Your Face on a Bus Bench", both got the #1, #2 and #3 Google searches. In three short months, The Real Estate Sizzle has ranked as high as # 72 Top Blog Sites, #15 Top Blog Area, and #6 on Top Blog List.
I "scooped" the media and published a letter from the Joint Committe on Tax Reform 2 days before any newspaper in the state covered it! That story, and more on Property Tax Reform, keeps readers tuning in for news, and commentary, on the tax situation in Florida...which is the BIG issue right now. It is SERIOUSLY affecting home sales, since buyers cannot move "up" without a huge increase in their taxes.
Many thanks to Jim Cronin, my Coach, at The Real Estate Tomato who got me "up to speed" in the Blogosphere in a nanosecond! Molly, his technical staff(Jason and Chris), go to great lengths to "tweak" my site and give me the right advice about widgets and other "site secrets". I love it when they think my "crazy" ideas aren't so crazy and they say...let's try it!
The site continues to reach new heights , reaching 36% new visitors this past week. Over 40% of my visitors are "regulars'...visiting over 10 times.
Tune in to the Inman News Conference at 11 am PST...I'll be one of the speakers, along with Jim Cronin, Jeff Turner and Julie Ferenzi...moderated by Jessica....The "J" show...it should be interesting and I am really looking forward to it! I "tested" it out last week and put some 'conference for dummies' instructions on my site...here they are..You need to allow "pop ups" to listen in!

Thanks, it was fun. I load my articles with links...I ping after after article...I try to fill the site with lots of critical keywords, but I think the most important part of it all is the content. We all hear "content is king" and I think that's it. I have started using Google keywords and I really check the google analytics to find out what topic is driving traffic and write about more of the same.
I use a Plaxo Email signature that has my blog address and it's very colorful and easy to "click" to the site, so every email that I send advertises my blog.
Jackie, thank you!! If you come to Bloggers Connect I'll buy you a margarita or your drink of choice. I'm doing the pinging, I write with keywords in mind but I'm almost invisible even though I have more than 110 articles on my LILG blog. It's so maddening. I do include my blog in my signature but maybe I'll try the Plaxo one (I don't usually use Outlook but I do use Plaxo).
I really, really appreciate your tips. Hope to meet you in SF - that would be fun.
