Part of our weekly office meeting is for someone to present a "green" tip of the week. You know...use the back side of cast-off pages from the office printer, recycle used paper and brochures, use a ceramic coffee cup instead of styrofoam cups, etc.

If you haven't noticed, I do like the "GREEN" philosophy... specifically the reduce, reuse, recycle mentality. I just believe that if we can, recycle we should! 
Start by getting in your car, and driving out to the intersection nearest to your home. Drive slowly, and pay attention to the yards of the nearby homes, and the overall look of the homes themselves.
There are many eco-friendly countertops on the market today that hold up well under heavy use. They combine natural and man-made materials in composite slabs, and usually integrate recycled materials as well, while remaining very attractive and utilitarian alternatives to mainstream countertops.
