bugs: In my garden again - the creature builds a crib on my basil plant - 09/29/08 07:36 PM

bugs: Yikes! What is this elegant, yet sinister, creature on my basil plant? - 09/28/08 05:52 PM
Obviously it's a spider (I'm math-challenged, but I was able to count eight legs). Anybody recognize it?
What could it be hoping to catch for breakfast? The ladybugs hatched months ago and fanned out across the yard, and there are no aphids. I just hope it's not messin' with my bees!
If anybody can identify

bugs: Is it termites? - 09/19/08 12:44 PM
While showing property yesterday, I came across one home with mounds of sand in the interior corners of the house. There were little white flakes in it. What could this be? Is this a sign of termites or maybe just ants?

bugs: Better than Bug Spray - - 07/31/08 01:30 PM
Better than Bug Spray -- and for those of you on vacation in August start relying on vitamin B1. People who have diets high in thiamine (vitamin B1) report fewer insect bites than others. "That's because the vitamin gives off an odor when you perspire that is unattractive to insects but

Apparently, we're not the only ActiveRain'ers around. We've got company, to the tune of trillions (likely more) fellow members who don't have much to say about anything, save for places like here in Seattle where it not only rains all the time, but actively so. They're skittish little fellows, usually identified more
