&lt;p&gt;There's nothing like sitting out on the boat on a Saturday afternoon waiting for a bite. I always love to go fishing. Of course, the only thing I can't stand about it is that you have to use icky worms. Ew, their so slimy. I had a friend tell me the other day that you can use corn to fish and it actually works! No more gooey, ewwwy worms for me!&lt;/p&gt;

    <title>How To Get Loyal Customers!</title>

&lt;p&gt;&lt;strong&gt;Have you ever thought about how important customer loyalty is&lt;/strong&gt;? How loyal are your clients? It's very important that we give superb customer service to keep your clients coming back for more. &lt;strong&gt;&lt;em&gt;Getting clients to come back is the most important endeavor of every business.&lt;/em&gt;&lt;/strong&gt; I have read that not one business can be successful by just depending on new clients. &lt;strong&gt;By getting repeat clients, this is where the profit is. Repeat customers help our business and pocket book to grow steadily&lt;/strong&gt;. &amp;nbsp; Why can't I base my business around clients that are new? This is a very costly idea. I got some great information from an awesome book called "Why Customers Come Back"!!!!!!!!!!&lt;/p&gt;
&lt;p&gt;&lt;strong&gt;&lt;/strong&gt;&lt;/p&gt;
&lt;p&gt;&lt;strong&gt;Years ago, the owner of Chuck E Cheese had the same idea&lt;/strong&gt;. He found it unimportant to focus on customer service and the quality of Chuck E Cheese's pizza. The owner decided that he would just base his business around new customers and really didn't care about satifisying the old ones. This got him into an extreme pickle. The service was terrible and the food was even worse. He saw no need to tweak any of it because he wasn't depending on returning clients for a profit. &lt;strong&gt;What happened? People started doing a little word-of-mouth marketing for him and pretty soon the Chuck E Cheese empire fell&lt;/strong&gt;. His previous clients spoke to others about the terrible service and food and pretty soon the doors at Chuck E Cheese were completely shut. Of course, now all of the current Chuck E Cheese's are individually owned.&lt;/p&gt;
&lt;p&gt;&lt;strong&gt;&lt;/strong&gt;&lt;/p&gt;
&lt;p&gt;&lt;strong&gt;This is a great example of how a business can not rely on new customers, especially if your service isn't superb.&lt;/strong&gt; Having repeat clients is a great way to get the word out about you, hey it's free marketing. &amp;nbsp; Of course, in the beginning with your business, all of your clients will be new. Eventually, you want to build up your business where you can depend on your previous clients and their referrals. The great thing about customer loyalty is that you already know your clients and they know you. They know what to expect from you and you know what to expect from them. &lt;strong&gt;You don't have to go through the entire process of trying to 'feel' them out or having to learn what type of situation they are in. Repeat clients are basically the only source of profit for any business.&lt;/strong&gt; Wouldn't it be great if you could just depend on your current clients to bring in new clients? &lt;strong&gt;Wow, there would be no cost for advertising because all of it would be word-of-mouth marketing. *le sigh* When you have loyal clients, they cost less to attract, they are more predictable and are easier to deal with. &amp;nbsp; &lt;/strong&gt;&lt;/p&gt;
&lt;p&gt;&lt;strong&gt;&lt;/strong&gt;&lt;/p&gt;
&lt;p&gt;&lt;strong&gt;So, now that we've got&lt;/strong&gt; all that out of the way, you are probably wondering how you can get your clients to be loyal. I think the number one reason that clients stay around is customer service. I've been reading a book on customer loyalty and they preach about five principles that create customer loyalty. They are: &lt;strong&gt;People do business with people, Differentiation, Value and assurance, Effective communication and Focus&lt;/strong&gt;. You are probably wondering what these have to do with customer loyalty. Let's dig a little deeper into the five principles so you can start getting your clients to be loyal to you and your business. &amp;nbsp;&lt;/p&gt;
&lt;p&gt;&amp;nbsp;&lt;/p&gt;
&lt;p&gt;&amp;nbsp;&lt;/p&gt;
&lt;p&gt;&lt;strong&gt;&lt;span style="text-decoration: underline;"&gt;People do business with people&lt;/span&gt;&lt;/strong&gt;: &lt;strong&gt;We define being loyal by having a client that comes to us for business&lt;/strong&gt; &lt;strong&gt;over and again&lt;/strong&gt;. People don't do business with houses or real estate, they do business with people. Like the book says, people might buy products, go to your office, get purchase agreements but the heart of the business is us. People do business with us. This is why it is so important to treat people with respect and how you treat them will determine your success. The answer to the question of customer loyalty is easy, it's you. &lt;strong&gt;You will determine how loyal are your clients will be. The way you treat and respond to clients will determine whether or not they will continue to come back for more. It's all in your hands, you hold the magic key to customer loyalty&lt;/strong&gt;.&amp;nbsp;&amp;nbsp;&lt;/p&gt;
&lt;p&gt;&amp;nbsp;&lt;/p&gt;
&lt;p&gt;&amp;nbsp;&lt;strong&gt;&lt;span style="text-decoration: underline;"&gt;Differentiation&lt;/span&gt;&lt;/strong&gt;: What is differentiation? &lt;strong&gt;Differentiation is what sets you apart from the rest of the pack&lt;/strong&gt;. This is what makes your clients want to do business with you and not with the big guy next door. &lt;strong&gt;If there isn't anything special about you, there's no reason why they wouldn't go to the guy next door. &lt;/strong&gt;This is why there needs to be something unique about you and your business. Learning how to stand out with superb service and immediate response to clients is one way to shine. It's a tough world in real estate and you know it's extremely competitive. &lt;strong&gt;What can you add on to your business that will allow clients to flock your way? It doesn't have to be anything spectacular, little things mean just as much&lt;/strong&gt;. I think responding to your clients asap is the most important. You wouldn't believe the clients that tell me that they are so glad that I called them back. I guess some people are so busy that they don't get around to everyone, but you need to find a way to do it. &lt;strong&gt;Be different. Be unique. Be spectacular and shine&lt;/strong&gt;! &amp;nbsp;&lt;/p&gt;
&lt;p&gt;&amp;nbsp;&lt;/p&gt;
&lt;p&gt;&amp;nbsp;&lt;/p&gt;
&lt;p&gt;&amp;nbsp;&lt;strong&gt;&lt;span style="text-decoration: underline;"&gt;Value &amp;amp; Assurance&lt;/span&gt;&lt;/strong&gt;: &lt;strong&gt;&lt;em&gt;Value, or the worth of something, is customer-centric&lt;/em&gt;.&lt;/strong&gt; Your client will decide what is of value for them. People buy real estate and products for different reasons. You really must tune in and listen to what your clients are saying. &lt;strong&gt;This is a great way to learn about what they consider valuable. When talking about assurance, your clients need this&lt;/strong&gt;. They need to know that there future transaction with you will be just as simpe &amp;amp; smooth as the last transaction. This is one of the reasons why clients come back for more. &lt;strong&gt;They know what to expect and are assured (or want to be assured) that things will flow as they did before.&lt;/strong&gt; &amp;nbsp;&lt;/p&gt;
&lt;p&gt;&lt;strong&gt;&lt;/strong&gt;&lt;/p&gt;
&lt;p&gt;&lt;strong&gt;&lt;/strong&gt;&lt;/p&gt;
&lt;p&gt;&lt;strong&gt;&lt;span style="text-decoration: underline;"&gt;Effective Communication:&lt;/span&gt;&lt;/strong&gt; I would have to say that this is the most important. Communication is key. Customer loyalty might just be impossible if there is no effective communication. We communicate by the way that we talk, what we say, how we say it and how we look. Remember, you can communicate without even saying a word. &lt;strong&gt;Communication is not just about speaking clearly to your client, it's also about listening.&lt;/strong&gt; I'm sure there have been several transactions that have fallen through because someone just didn't listen. &lt;strong&gt;Your clients want to be heard and if you give them this satisfaction, they might just come back knocking for another transaction&lt;/strong&gt;. Better yet, they might tell a few friends and good ole Aunt Betty. It's very important that you establish a relationship at the beginning of every transaction. People who feel they have a some sort of relationship with you will be more likely to trust you. It's important to over and again thank your clients for their business. Even after the transaction is done with, the communication never stops. &lt;strong&gt;You should communicate with your client as long you want them to BE your client&lt;/strong&gt;.&amp;nbsp;&amp;nbsp;&lt;/p&gt;
&lt;p&gt;&amp;nbsp;&lt;/p&gt;
&lt;p&gt;&amp;nbsp;&lt;strong&gt;&lt;span style="text-decoration: underline;"&gt;Focus&lt;/span&gt;&lt;/strong&gt;: Focus affects loyalty in three ways: &lt;strong&gt;how you think about yourself and your business, how you think about your customers, and how your customers think about you&lt;/strong&gt;. It's really important that you let "customer loyalty" be the core of your business and left everything fall into place. &lt;strong&gt;Focus. I'm willing to bet that if you focus a good bit of energy on customer loyalty, &lt;/strong&gt;your business will boom. Don't focus on getting new clients all the time; especially if you are deep into your business. If you are new, then of course you want to focus on new clients. Be sure that you don't focus completely on just getting "new" clients. &lt;strong&gt;You need to put more focus on the old ones, they are the ones that are going to bring you the business and the money. Quit thinking about just making a sale and focus on how you can make the sale awesome for your client!&lt;/strong&gt; &amp;nbsp;&lt;/p&gt;
&lt;p&gt;&amp;nbsp;Creating customer loyalty should be the core of your mission statement. This should be what your business is all about. &lt;strong&gt;If you put effort into making clients happy, they will be oh so happy to tell others what an awesome agent you are&lt;/strong&gt;. Remember, customer loyaly lies in your hands. You are the only one that can create customer loyalty for yourself. &lt;strong&gt;With a little bit of love, sweat and determination, clients will appreciate the work you do for them and will remain loyal.&lt;/strong&gt;&lt;/p&gt;    </content>

There's something about the news that we just can't get enough of. Our society has always been intrigued with what is going on in our country and the areas around us.&lt;strong&gt; With that being said, who could possibly pass up a newsletter full of, well, you guess it...News!&lt;/strong&gt; Of course, it doesn't have to be dosed with your typical news. You can get creative and add market news, recipes, home tips and more. If you are having trouble deciding how to stay in touch with your sphere of influence, what better way to contact them than a newsletter.&lt;/p&gt;
&lt;p&gt;Newsletters come in all kind of shapes and sizes. &lt;strong&gt;Well, okay not really...it's just a piece of paper but you are at liberty to add whatever information, design, logos, pictures you want&lt;/strong&gt;. The good thing about newsletters is that they might possibly get into the door quicker than a postcard. Did you know the average postcard gets viewed for about three seconds before it goes into the trash? &lt;strong&gt;You've got to think of creative ways to make your newsletter POP so it can stay away from the trash and go right on the fridge.&lt;/strong&gt;&lt;/p&gt;
&lt;p&gt;Putting together a newsletter doesn't have to be tricky. It actually an be a lot of fun, especially if you are the &amp;lsquo;artsy' type. There are several places on the web that allow you to make your own newsletters. Heck, there are even a few places that allow you to use them for free. &lt;strong&gt;Now, that's what I'm talking about. You can't beat free with a stick. Old Republic Home Warranty is one of the companies that allow you to sign up for an account that offers all sort of customizable, promotional items&lt;/strong&gt;. This is basically where I get my newsletters. If you are like me, you might not have the time to put together a newsletter every month. At Old Republic, they have done all the work for you. &lt;strong&gt;All you have to do is fill in your contact information and VIOLA, you are done, my friend. Here are some tips that I grabbed from my brain and from a book I am reading about newsletters! Take what you need, leave what you don't!&lt;/strong&gt;&lt;/p&gt;

&lt;p&gt;On the return address section, it's a good idea to have your picture, your company name and your logo. Remember to put a return address on the newsletter. Sometimes people move and the newsletter needs to have somewhere to go back home to. &lt;strong&gt;If your newsletter is sent back to you, be sure to scratch those people off of your list because obviously they do not live there anymore. It really is time consuming addressing 300 newsletters. I hate to say it but it's probably best if you handwrite them. Do as I say, not as I do because I use labels. : I've tried printing from my computer but it doesn't do double siding. Yes, it's a pain. I actually tried it and I ran out of ink. &lt;strong&gt;What is it with printers these days?&lt;/strong&gt; Tip: If you buy a cheap printer, be prepared to give up your first born for the ink. &lt;strong&gt;My first experience with a printing company with Kinko's, this was a costly idea. It ended up costing me over $80 to do around $100 newsletters&lt;/strong&gt;. Whoa Nelly. It made me want to slap my mamma. I ended up at Office Depot. For some reason, Kinko's used some sort of slick paper that ended up costing and taking a small fortune. &lt;strong&gt;You don't need expensive paper. Paper is paper&lt;span style="text-decoration: underline;"&gt;.&lt;/span&gt;&lt;/strong&gt;&lt;/p&gt;

Again, if you are wanting to hang on to your first born I advise you to stay away from color.&lt;strong&gt; This is probably another reason why Kinko's took my arm and leg. Black and white is just fine&lt;/strong&gt;. I wouldn't start off with color and then go to black and white. People might start to wonder if you ran out of money and had to go to B&amp;amp;W, instead of color. Ha! There's nothing wrong with B&amp;amp;W, it's cheap and I like it. &lt;strong&gt;Office Depot only cost me $40 for 300 copies. Of course, they added an extra penny for every page when you allow them to do it. Why couldn't I just done it myself? I'm still learning, those big machines scare me&lt;/strong&gt;.&lt;/p&gt;

Are you trying to let others know about discounts you are offering? &lt;strong&gt;It needs to have another purpose other than to promote yourself. We all know that the main reason for a newsletter is for promotion but it doesn't need to be just that&lt;/strong&gt;. It needs to be that and then some. Possibly think about creating some sort of mission statement for your newsletter before you begin. &lt;strong&gt;You can even do a little research and map out a newsletter plan and goals. Try to come up with something unique and be creative.&lt;strong&gt; You can even do a play on words, those are always fun. You might even want to incorporate your name or your company's name it in&lt;/strong&gt;.&lt;/p&gt;

I'm not sure what the statistics are with e-mail vs. snail mail but you can always give it a try and see what works best for you. &lt;strong&gt;Another great way to save on money is to hook up with other businesses and ask them if they would like to advertise on your newsletter. You don't want your newsletter to be loaded with advertising but it might help on the cost a little.&lt;/strong&gt;&lt;/p&gt;

Imagine all the money we would save if all it took was one letter, one postcard or one phone call. The most important thing to remember about advertising is that it requires repitition. Think of all the promotional items that one consumer gets in a week. At some point, all of these items probably start to run together, making it difficult and confusing for the consumer to separate.&lt;/p&gt;
&lt;p&gt;Did you know that it takes at least seven times for the consumer to even notice your promotional item? Yes, seven times. This is just to get noticed. It might possible take at least 49 times before they are more likely to call. Yes, I know, 49 is a big number and a lot of postcards. If you are doing this plus advertising, this would be a good double wammy. While newspapers and the Internet will be promoting you, you must do what it takes to promote yourself. Doing this, it will increase your chances of having consumers calling you and bringing you the money.&lt;/p&gt;
