I have been anti-meme'd by Lindsey
Hasford!
I am not exactly sure what this totally means, but I think I
get
the basic concept, so I am going to give it shot!
Question 1:Who
is my LEAST favorite Musical Artist?
I would have to say Rush. Terrible to say and I
hope I
don't make any enemies, but I can't stand the lead singer's voice
(Getty something - isn't that his name?).
Question 2:Who
is my LEAST favorite Artist? I have no earthly
idea. I remember the names of the ones I like and forget the
ones I don't!
Question 3:Who
is My LEAST Favorite Blogger? I definitely have
my favorites. If I don't like someone's blog-itude, I just
don't read any more of their blogs!
Question 4:If I
could AVOID meeting anyone (dead or alive), who would it be?
My ex-husband's father's 3rd wife (yeah, that is a difficult one to
follow). She is insufferable.
Question 5:What
did I LEAST want to be when I grew up?
An accountant. Didn't know this until my parents thought it
would
be a great major for me in college. Made it to Auditing.
Scrapped that idea and finished with an International
Business/Spanish degree.
Question 6:What
is the LEAST interesting piece of Trivia that I know?
If you can find the North Star, you can easily locate the Big &
Little Dipper. Maybe everyone knows this, which makes it even
more boring.
Question 7:If I
could AVOID living in any point of history when would it be and why?
Off the top of my head, I would say the Great Depression.
My parents both grew up during that era and I have heard many
a
stories about it. It didn't sound like a fun time.
Question 8:What
is the LEAST interesting job I've ever had?
Lindsey, we definitely have something in common here! I took
a
part-time job delivering auto parts to make ends meet. I
figured
I could make business calls while I was out on the road, etc.
Didn't quite work out that way. I ended up stuck in
the
store most of the time. I could feel my IQ dropping at the
end of
each day I worked. I had to quit to get my IQ back to it's
normal
level!
I think I'm supposed to tag 8 lucky people for the
anti-meme. Here's my list!
When we began building our lives and families with so much hope, excitement and joy for the future. It was certainly hard to imagine that good, honest, hard working people like you and me could end up losing everything, but it is happening every day to us, our families and neighbors.Recent times have brought much stress and turmoil to our once secure financial lives.Sometimes it is difficult for us to know who really wants to help us or who wants to cheat us.
We decided we would do whatever we could to help people out of this situation, as no one deserves the humiliation and pain that you are experiencing.
The truth is, we not only want to help you, we can help you. You’re probably wondering why we want to help you.It is simple, really.Sometime ago, we learned that the only way you can get what you want is to help others get what they want.So many people are suffering needlessly only because they don’t have the information they need.
We have a number of solutions for you to get a new beginning in life that will give you and your family peace of mind and a fresh start in life, without the worries of a looming foreclosure.
Maybe one of the following applies to you?
I fell behind on payments, but now have the means to continue making my monthly payments, but I can’t pay everything the bank is asking. We work with a reputable foreclosure resolution company who has excellent contacts in the banking industry. They may be able to work with you and your bank to achieve a work out plan that “works” for everyone.
I fell behind on payments, but I no longer have the financial means to afford my home.We have a licensed real estate agent in our office that may be able to list your home.If there isn’t enough equity to list the property, there are still options. We may be able to help you sell your home to one of our many qualified buyers we have pre-approved though our in house financing or we may be able to buy CASH – As Is.
I fell behind on payments and am trying to move on and I JUST WANT OUT!We also have the option of purchasing your house As-Is cash.
What if none of these situations sound like yours? Please call us and tell us about your particular circumstances. We are here to help.
We believe we can take your foreclosure off your hands, save you from bankruptcy and help put the whole ordeal behind you.
Please give us a call at 724-783-7180 or 724-316-3298 to discuss your options.
Many of us may not know, but today, May 30th, is the "real" Memorial Day.
Memorial Day honors U.S. men and women who died serving our country.
Memorial Day was first observed on this day in 1868. It remained the official holiday until Congress passed the National Holiday Act in 1971, moving it to the last Monday in May (thus creating a three-day weekend).
My parents were married on this day in 1951. My father was a veteran of World War II and was very proud of his service to his country. He passed away on November 22, 2004 and is greatly missed by myself, my mother and all those who knew and loved him.
Please, take a moment on this Memorial Day, to honor those who have given the ultimate sacrifice to our country and our freedom. And pray for a safe return to those currently serving our country.
Here's my brilliant idea (or at least I think so)!
First, if you are interested, please post some ideas on a book you would like to read, a book you are currently reading or perhaps one you have already read (and you think the group may enjoy).
Second, join the group. On June 1st, I will let everyone know what the 2 or 3 books of the month will be. You can pick one or all of them (and order them online). Start reading (and start commenting). I will be reading them (and commenting) as well.
I think this will be a great way for us to interact with each other and learn something in the process!
I have a client who would like to build a Modular Earthship home in Pennsylvania.
I am not very familiar with these homes, but I understand they were designed by Mike Renyolds.
I checked out the website and I am not seeing Pennsylvania as an option.
If, by chance, you know anything about these home and if there is a County in Pennsylvania that is receptive to this type of structure, please comment!
I did a search and wasn't able to get an answer to my question. I am still pretty new and I am sure other NEWBIES would love to know as we will all eventually get blog subscriptions!
Can any one tell me where
I can find this inforamtion out?
I want to personally thank those who have subscribed.
CONFESSION: I subscribed to my own blog to see if I could figure it out. Shame one me!!

Today,
I was fortunate enough to speak to Brad
Andersohn in regards to his recent reunion with his
brother.
This
is a topic near and dear to me as I was adopted when I was 17 months
old and have yet to find my birth parents.
As
many of us know, Brad was recently reunited with his long,
lost brother. He was kind
enough to offer
assistance to me in my search for my birth parents.
It was a great
conversation and I am blessed
to have had this interaction with such a knowledgeable and caring person.
I am sure many of you are aware of "The
Secret" - that being the Law
of Attraction. Many of us have read it and maybe
acted upon it - OR
maybe we haven't.
Active Rain is a great place to throw your ideas out to the universe.
Remember - Thoughts
Become Things!
I am encouraging you, as I am sure Brad would, to put your thoughts
"out there" and they WILL
become reality!
Please, if you would be so kind, share your thoughts with me and the
rest of the AR Community. Put your thoughts out there AND
THEY WILL MATERIALIZE!!
You've made your decision and are ready to pursue homeownership. What's next?
EDUCATE YOURSELF!
Check your credit: Your credit history is going to determine what kind of loan you qualify for and what kind of interest rate you are going to pay.
You can check your credit for free through each of the 3 bureaus every 12 months. Stagger your inquiries so you are checking your credit through one of the 3 bureaus every 3 or 4 months. You can look at your credit report by visiting annualcreditreport.com.
Decide what you can comfortably spend each month on a mortgage payment: Don't forget to take taxes, insurance and maintenance into consideration.
REMEMBER: What the bank "says" you can afford and what you "know" you can afford can be two different things. Don't get in over your head. Your loan officer will be able to calculate your loan payments based on the property your are interested in.
Understand the loan for which you are applying: Make sure you completely understand the type of loan your loan officer is suggesting you use.
Is it an adjustable rate mortgage? Is there a pre-payment penalty? Are you paying mortgage insurance and, if so, for how long? Fully educate yourself so you don't get an unwanted surprise down the road!
Go out and start making offers: Don't be afraid to offer less than what the seller is asking. This is a buyer's market and most sellers are expecting a lower offer than the asking price.
