GREENVILLE, NC -- Homebuyers signed more sales contracts in August than in any month this year, boosted by the looming expiration of a homebuyers' tax credit, according to an industry report released Thursday. The August Pending Home Sales Index from the National Association of Realtors (NAR) surged 6.4%, the seventh straight month-over-month improvement in the indicator. pitt county: Pitt Community College (PCC) Witnessing Record Enrollment This Fall - 09/01/09 06:11 AM

WINTERVILLE-Though an official total is not yet available, Pitt Community College Registrar Joanne Ceres said this week the college is serving its largest enrollment ever this fall.
During a campus meeting Wednesday, Ceres reported that 7,710 students had enrolled at PCC this semester, up an estimated nine percent from the same point a year ago. She pointed out that a final enrollment total could be even higher since students may still sign up for the college's delayed start courses.

Take Notice! - New government regulationis going into effect on July 30, 2009.  This regulation requires all mortgage lenders to provide the Truth in Lending (TIL) disclosures to borrowers according to a defined schedule.  The schedule may alter the borrowers' closing date expectation.  The regulation is in the best interest of our borrowers, so it's important we all understand and implement it thoughtfully and consistently.  In addition, we all need to work to ensure the changes that will result from this regulation are understood by our borrowers!
