I couldn't have done it without a realtor. "It" means selling my mother's condo. Prior to putting it on the market I had received several calls from folks who had heard I was going to sell. I briefly - but very briefly - considered trying to sell it myself but wisely re-considered. Because I knew this was coming I had already done my homework in selecting a realtor: I am a woman and working with another woman was top priority.
I grew up in Searcy, a town where most everybody knows everybody, or knows someone who does. Barbara Duncan has a very good reputation in the real estate business.....many of my friends and acquaintances who I trust said so! She was pleasant, professional and easy to work with from the first phone call. I have had prior dealing with realtors that was NOT GOOD, as I told Barbara up front. I needn't have even mentioned that. After the condo sold and the buyers wanted in sooner than I had anticipated, Barbara gave me an auction company that, again, I couldn't have done without them. Without her knowledge and good working relationships with other related fields, I couldn't have done it. Great job, Barbara, and I truly feel I was "led" to your ReMax office door.

In 2007 , my wife and I decided to relocate to Arkansas from the Baltimore area. We { fortunately} stumbled upon Barbara Duncan's wesbite and made plans to meet her. She was by far, the best realtor we had ever dealt with, spending much of her own time to look at homes for us, trying to find what we wanted and then contacting us on what she had found. After looking at about 50 + homes in the area , we finally made our purchase. Barbara did not pressure us into any purchases and maintained a very honest and friendly attitude during the whole process. Thanks again Barbara !
Sincerely,
Scott P.
Ludean and I had a mobile home back in 1984 that we wanted to sell. You sold the home and found us one in Searcy. I remodeled the one in Searcy. I am a country boy and Ludean grew up in Searcy. I had to park my boat in the front yard. I had tried to get the owner of the property behind me to let me put a gate at the back of his lot so I could get my boat off the street, but failed in the attempt. No blame to him. I probably would have done the same as he did. I wanted out of Searcy.
The people who bought the home you had sold for us wanted to sell it back to us. What a blessing I thought. You so graciously bought the house we had bought in Searcy so we could move back "home". Ludean and I were cleaning the mobile home to move back in. We were taking a break. I had poured a cup of coffee from a thermos and was sitting in one of two folding chairs we had brought with us so we could take breaks. As I was drinking a cup, I noticed fleas on my white socks. I was covered up with fleas.
Ludean and I went and bought 10 flea bombs that had "diazanon" ( which by the way, you can't but any longer) in them. One was supposed to take care of 1000 square feet of floor space. That small mobile home had about 800 to 1000 square feet. I don't remember exactly. Anyway, I set off 5 under the house and 5 inside the house. We left for about 4 or 5 days. When we came back, it looked like it had snowed inside:-). but know what? We never had another flea.
Thanks Barbara for your friendship especially toward my lovely wife. You have been and will remain "my realtor". Ludean talks about your blogs to me all the time. I am quite illiterate when it comes to computers. So I don't know how to respond to the blogs on the "blog page". By the way. you have a pretty good guy for a husband. He sold Ludean and I a couple cars before they closed the "shop". James Kidd
